You can now watch HELL'S ANGELS (1930) one of the most iconic aviation movies ever made on youtube. Upscaled to 4k, with audio and coloration. This was one of the first talkie movies ever. It was originally planned as a silent film, and pretty much in the can, but then additional audio footage was recorded and it was finally released in 1930 as a talkie. Ridiculously expensive and a financial flop, it is considered by many the best "airplane movie" ever made. Leo di Caprio played Howard Hughes in the 2004 biopic "The Aviator".

I doubt that anyone actually died in the making of this movie. Actors always lie, and don't die, but shed their skin like a snake. Then again, people did stunts in the roaring 20s that would curl a Gen A teenager's toenails and send him straight to his safe space or gender identity counselor. Back then, life was no joke and people had real grit.
