AC ODYSSEY (2018) finally got a Greek Subtitles Mod, but it is far from perfect

This is amazing, i've been waiting for this for years. Finally some greek gamer guy translated all subtitles of AC ODYSSEY into greek (using AI this is now much easier and cheaper than a couple years ago). So now you can read along as you run around in ancient greece as Kassandra. the Mod can be downloaded for free from NEXUSMODS and runs flawlessly on my older rig.

 however the mod is far from perfect. ("G14VVH5" also makes greek language mods for many other games, so this was probably a mere side project). 

I tested the mod for about 1 hour and this is my verdict:

WHAT ACTALLY WORKS:

- most subtitles are rendered accurately in modern greek language

- the game runs just like it did before

- the menu is also in greek, trying to change it back causes severe problems

WHAT ACTUALLY DOESN'T WORK:

- some special words like "Abstergo" and many others are still in english, this kind breaks the flow and immersion when reading along. I reckon the AI just didn't know how to translate these words, they don't exist in any official dictionary.

- the intro sequence (Leonidas and his 300 at Thermopylae) has Russian Subtitles instead of Greek. No idea why.

-  Some words in the Menu and Submenus are also untranslated. it looks weird and amateurish. (Grafika, adaptive quality, anti-aliasing, volumetric clouds, ambient occlusion, depth of field, tropos pachnidiou, emfanisi, brightness, aspect ratio, resolution, refresh rate, vsync, field of view, HDR, rithmisis HDR, Freesync2HDR)

- when i switched menu language to german, all 3 were set to german (subtitles, audio and menu language) and i couldn't switch back to greek. also as i played, the dialogues had no more audio. Some point later i was able to switch everything back to greek, and the dialogues played properly in english again.

So to sum it up, yes it's a start, but this mod doesn't do the game justice. It deserves a complete greek adaptation including full audio by professional actors or very dedicated amateurs, including all game dialogue. Here are some features i would add if i had unlimited funds and a dedicated team of devs. The Mod would be so good that people would be willing to pay 10 or 20$ for it without even thinking twice.

HOW TO DO IT PROPERLY:

- Complete game dialogue in modern greek by professional actors or dedicated amateurs.

- Not just any actors, there will be proper auditions and only actors who fit can get the part.

- Complete greek audio as well for all DLC's and the "Ancient Greece Discovery Tour"

- Option to display bilingual subtitles in different colors, fonts and font sizes. This will prove incredibly helpful when learning greek.

- Option to slow down dialogue in increments of 0.05% to follow along easier.

- Option to stop/freeze dialogue altogether

the works a culture produces at a certain point in time, are like a spiritual fingerprint. games peaked between 2008 and 2020. Before the graphics were too bad, after, the culture turned corrupt/satanic. This game (along with AC origins) is a one in a lifetime.
